On June 28th, Internal Medicine & Geriatrics Center of Winder is opening a medical office in downtown Winder, Georgia. The office will begin taking appointments on June 28th and will begin seeing patients on July 1st.
 
Dr. Al Samara, the doctor at Internal Medicine & Geriatrics Center completed her Internal Medicine Residency at St. Joseph Hospital/Northwestern University, Chicago, IL in 2006; and her Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL in 2007. Shortly after, she joined Wayne State University Physician Group in Detroit, MI and served as an assistant professor of  medicine at Wayne State University until May 2010.

Dr. Al Samara is American Board certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine and has received the Finberg award for Excellence in Geriatric Care in 2006. She has given many lectures to medical students and residents, and she has participated in community outreach events. In addition, she is a member of The American College of Physicians and The American Geriatrics Society.
